The holiday season has arrived, bringing with it a new season of giving and sharing in holiday cheer. While the holidays can often feel like a constant call to spend money on expensive, store-bought gifts, we prefer to use this time of year to create gifts with our hands, from our hearts.

Craft projects can sound daunting to those who aren't DIY experts, and that's why we prefer to choose craft projects that are simple enough for novice crafters and even kids! In fact, we see craft projects as being a group endeavor, and invite you to include your friends, family and neighbors in your holiday creations this year. Making holiday crafts is a wonderful way to spend time with the ones you love, creating cheerful decorations and one-of-a-kind, meaningful gifts from the heart.

This year, create holiday craft projects that will warm your heart and fill your home with holiday decorations and gifts designed to inspire the holiday spirit. Cheers to another holiday season, and Happy New Year to each and every one of you!

Wine Cork Angels
These beautiful and elegant wine cork angels are fun to make and will look gorgeous hung on just about any tree. This craft project from One Little Project is perfect when created in a group, and will require gathering up several wine corks to begin. Once you've gathered your materials, you'll love watching these adorable angels come together.

Tin Can Christmas Tree
Make good use of your old soup and coffee tins, and invite your friends, family and neighbors to join you in creating this adorable and fun tin can christmas tree project from Babble Dabble Do. Kid-friendly and easy enough for novice crafters, this might be your new favorite holiday craft!

Handmade Cards
Experienced crafters and holiday card fanatics will simply adore this beautiful handmade card project from HGTV. This falling snow holiday shaker card will require a few additional materials and time, but will make for a beautiful and fun to open card for anyone you love to share this holiday season with.

Coffee Filter Garland
Coffee filter crafts are as fun and easy to make as they are inexpensive, making them an ideal DIY project just about any time of year. This holiday garland is absolutely stunning once complete, and will look lovely hung or strewn just about anywhere you want to spread holiday cheer.

Paper Dreidel Box
We love these simple and cheerful paper dreidel boxes from Martha Stewart, and better yet, we love how easy they are to create. Using simple templates, you can create these lovely little boxes to hold candies or nuts, or any other items you wish to use to spread holiday cheer.

Bird Seed Ornaments
Making your own ornaments makes for a truly special tree, and these bird seed ornaments are easy, kid-friendly and look beautiful dangling from just about any branch in your home. The "trick" with these is in using the right amount of gelatin to hold everything together, then voila! You'll have beautiful, handmade ornaments to share!

Homemade Snow Globe
These are, hands-down, one of the easiest holiday crafts out there, and they're so fun to mix and make with little ones! Martha Stewart's simple instructions and ideas make fast work of this holiday DIY project, and if you stock up on enough jars, you can hand these out to all of your friends and neighbors for gifts this season.
